About me
I'm a webdeveloper living in the rainy Netherlands. I've worked for a large list of clients, among which mEgo.com and DemoBooster.com. I focus on building webbased systems that are fast and scalable using the latest and greatest webstandards.
I adore open standards and make wide usage of Linux and it's assorted software because of that. The same goes for web technologies. I love programming in PHP because of it's open nature and huge spread.
My talents tend to sway towards backend programming but I can code a mean frontend just as well. Proper HTML and CSS don't hold many secrets for me. Neither does javascript.
Over the time I've used a wide range of PHP Frameworks and Javascript libraries and I keep coming back to CodeIgniter and jQuery respectively. The CodeIgniter framework by Ellislabs is amazingly fast as well as jQuery which just allows me to do anything I need to in clean, fast code.

Demobooster.com
A website aimed at up and coming artists. An artist uploads their demo and has their friends vote on it, when they reach a certain number of votes they get help releasing the demo officially
Demobooster is built on CodeIgniter's PHP framework and uses an API to populate it's media database. I built the site from a predelivered design.

Given the huge weight on the photo part of the site the choice was made to go with ZenPhoto for this project.
Tegelsennatuursteen.nl
For this project the choice was made to use TYPO3 as the CMS to run the project on. At the moment it's simply a promotional website for the products in the store. Soon the intention is to build it out into a full fledged webshop.
